Q: Where is Golden, Colorado located?

A: About Golden, Colorado
The Historic City of Golden is nestled in a valley 15 miles west of Denver at the foot of the Rocky Mountains. The community is served by five major highways including Interstate 70, Colorado 470, US Highway 6, and State Highway 93, which provide a direct route to Denver, Boulder and neighboring foothills communities. Our population of 17,000 gives us the quality of life that you would expect in a small town with easy access to the services, amenities, events, and opportunities found in the Denver metro area .

Historic Golden was made Colorado’s Territorial Capitol in 1862 and is home to The Colorado School of Mines, Coors brewing, the Colorado Railroad Museum, and many other recreational, cultural, and historical landmarks.

While its residents enjoy all of the amenities and services of modern life, you might say Golden is just 15 miles west and 100 years from Denver.
